School has been back for a few weeks now so I got to see a bunch co-workers for the first time after summer break. Most of the feedback has been great, but there are a few offhanded comments like, “How much did you lose? You didn’t really need to lose that much” or “You look so skinny.” The only thing that bothers me is when people say, “What diet did you do? I don’t think you need to diet anymore.” So I launch into the whole, “No, this is not a diet. It’s a lifestyle” and then brag about Tone It Up and how it’s helped my family become healthier.
Vacations and special occasions are usually the major events that tempt me off my healthy eating, but as a “mom in moderation,” I think indulging once in a while is okay. However, I do try to limit my indulgences mostly to these special circumstances not because I’m obsessive compulsive (partly, maybe? lol), but mostly because my body feels so much better when I eat healthy. I can definitely tell a difference in my energy levels on days that I indulged a little too much.
